Haec

|

I woke alone
Slowly I rose from my sleep
Outside my window there was no sun for me
Labor in vain
I lift my head to breath
Hoping to see the end, desperately grasping dreams
I lay me down
Buried beside my love
Oh can it be here below same as it is above

Nightly
02:54
|
|||
Forces enter you like breath
The sting, the offspring of death herself
I hear my babies cry all through the night
Stricken by haunting dreams
Nightly they return to haunt
Someday I fear they will not
Then I will know my end, know my rest
Then I will know the true darkness

Lazy River
04:17
|
|||
Like a thorough bread horse arching its neck in dying light
Letting its mane grow long and flow into the night
Time is still but deep and runs its current through my heart
The lazy river flows to oceans in the dark
Through my window blinds the sunlight seems to slowly fall
As my candle burns I see my shadow dancing on the wall
Though I know not where to go I’ll follow so close behind
Give it one more try as I weave myself into another life
In a thronging cavalry, filled with passion and forget
Writing twisted dreams held firm until the end
Unsurpassed in beauty she holy Helen came and went
Only thoughts of loveless passion did she spend
Now I go with her and sacrifice my only child
In perverted paraphrase I worship shadows in the night
Though I know not where to go I’ll follow so close behind
Walk into the light as I weave myself into another life

Wind
02:35
|

Thought I heard some voices call, but it was just the wind a-windin’
Thought I heard some footsteps fall but it was just the gravel grindin’
When I sit here all alone
Let my weary mind roam
And slowly close my eye
I can make believe your mine
Thought I heard my favorite song but it what just the chimes a-chimin’
Then I tried to sing along but the wind had stopped its windin’
Gotta try to convince myself
I can really be someone else
And my life will all workout
And my blues won’t haunt me down
Thought I saw my shadow leave me
Then I found the sun deceive me
As it passed right be on its way
Though I know it’s not forever
Nothing I can’t keep together
But my words and those I’ll never say
Thought I heard you say my name but it was just my mind a-wanderin’
Though I saw you walk my way but it was just that memory hauntin’

Time Piece
04:14
|
|||
Time piece antithesis of my memories
Wandering you are the light that I’m following
The weary voices in the dark are calling out and I begin to walk
And every star is shining down on me alone, on me and no one else
Lord, let me walk in your garden
Lay me, lay me down on the roses
Keep me in your right hand
Keep me in your right hand
The hollow place from where I come
Some memory that I must soon forget
The heart’s a hallway vast and hushed
And far away I hear your subtle steps

Let Me Be The One
02:50
|
|||
Let me be the one
If you’re feeling lonely I can make you feel at home
No one else around you, I’ll surround you with my love
Hold you close and keep you in a place where you belong
Oh, if you let me be the one
Let me see you cry
Don’t be scared, I know it’s hard but let me see you try
Though it’s all the same don’t be ashamed to be in love
I’ve not gone far but I know that no one should feel along
Oh, won’t you let me be the one
